July 3rd 2015, Friday ~Homemade DoubleDown Recipe~

Can you believe I can eat this and still lose 15kg in 3 months?! 

I hit my 3 month ketoversary on the first of July and I felt like I'd hit a bit of a funk. So this week I've been putting more effort into making my meals and snacks new and exciting as you will have seen with my mushroom recipe earlier this week.


Today it is the incredible KFC DoubleDown Keto version. All you need is chicken, bacon, cheddar, avocado and a little bit of salt and pepper to taste. I have never tasted something so magnificently satisfying!

I only have one stove top so I whipped out my bacon first and fried it up then left the remaining grease to fry my chicken bun in (a chicken breast sliced in half). 

Once that's done cooking you just need to put it all together with some avocado and cheddar; stand back, take a picture or two and delve into that fat filled meal.

I didn't have any sides with mine (a couple of months of no lunches and small breakfasts makes for a very small stomach) but I'm sure a simple salad would go wonderfully alongside your meaty burger.



Give it a go and let me know what you think! You could add some extra ingredients like some mushrooms in there or a lettuce wrap on the outside. Maybe I'll give that a go next time.
